My go to cafe! The food is great, and so is the ambiance. It's student friendly, with unlimited Wi-Fi and plenty of sockets. I was this close to gatekeeping it... but here I am, posting a Google review. You're welcome!

i've been wanting to try this place for a long time. i ordered yuja slush, custard bungeoppang, and bacon creamcheese croissant. The food was very good. I like how the bungeoppang is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a lot of filling. The bacon croissant is very tasty, there's a lot of creamcheese and bacon. yuja slush is delicious and not sweet. But the service is very slow i thought the place is airconditioned but it was room temperature – warm, even – when i went. I'm not sure if it's because it's summer. they have large ceiling fans but i still felt warm. food arrived after 30 minutes or so, i thought i would get my drink first but everything arrived at the same time. i've noticed grab drivers getting a bit annoyed at the long wait too. there was also a boisterous group of students who entered the cafe and their noise was so annoying. this isn't the fault of the staff though, i'm just giving a heads up in case you're expecting a cozy atmosphere. it can get really crowded (i went on a weekday around 1pm) please consider increasing your staff size in this branch i really want to go back to try other stuff but i dont think the 30-minute wait is worth

My most favorite Korean cafe here sa North! I will forever share and gatekeep this cafe at the same time. It’s been my comfort place for a year now since I discovered it! They offer superb, delicious food and drinks altogether. Their atmosphere is also very chill. It tends to get noisy sometimes as it is a very small cafe. But during downtimes, you can get to enjoy yourself alone or with a date! I always order their seafood rose pasta, tteokbokki, ramen + tteokbokki and rabokki! So excited to try their bacon carbonara next time. Food: 10/10. Tried their Seafood Rose Pasta and the quality remains the same. It’s one of the most delicious pasta dishes I have tried so far! It’s got a nice kick of spice and their pasta is cooked perfectly. Drinks: 10/10. Strawberry smoothie is made using real strawberries. It’s perfectly sweet and sour at the same time. It is quite refreshing! Spanish Latte is so good. It’s on par with other popular cafes, but this one is better! Coffee is strong and is well-balanced with the milk. Atmosphere: 8/10. I always loved their atmosphere, whether the cafe goes busy or chill. It gets packed with people, but is very manageable. I highly suggest you bring a jacket with you when you plan to stay here for an hour or two. It gets freezing! Service: 7/10. Now this is where they can improve a lot more. Some staff are not as friendly and don’t have really good customer service. I go here often so the experience always varies. Food also can take up to 20-30 minutes before it gets served, so please keep that in mind. Considering they only have a few staff, it is understandable. But the wait is worth it! I strongly recommend this cafe :))

Got their hotteok toast and it was very flavorful! It was my first time trying something from Janggeum Cafe and I was not disappointed. I'll be coming back for more and will try their drinks next time! The staff was also very polite and accommodating!
